Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor at City Market, Onion River Co-op! We’re always looking to bring more local and regional products into our stores! Some things that we consider in beginning new relationships with vendors are product quality, price point, availability, potential “fit” of the product into our current product mix, and distribution.
Inclusive Brands at City Market
Our Inclusive Brands program highlights businesses owned by individuals who identify as members of historically and currently excluded communities. It's one small way for City Market to share information about our vendors with interested customers and to support historically marginalized communities by addressing some of the systemic barriers and inequities within our supply chains.
How It Works
City Market’s vendors may self-identify in one or multiple Inclusive Brands categories. To self-identify, businesses must be at least 51% legally owned, operated, and controlled by individual(s) who identify as being from historically and currently excluded communities (often identified within federal classifications as diverse or a part of a minority group). The categories are:
- Asian/Pacific Islander-Owned
- BIPOC-Owned
- Black-Owned
- Hispanic-Owned
- Indigenous-Owned
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and/or Transgender (LGBTQIA+)-Owned
- Person with Disabilities-Owned
- Veteran-Owned
- Woman-Owned
City Market shares this information with customers through in-store signage, emails, social media posts, and other marketing communications. This allows Members and customers to learn more about our vendors' rich and varied backgrounds, and to support represented communities as they choose. It's a great way to get to know our diverse food system in Vermont and beyond.

Local Food Gaps at City Market
City Market is always open to working with new or growing Vermont farms and producers. We especially welcome vendor applications for additional local products.
New Vendor Application
Our Purchasing Team individually reviews each New Vendor Application. Because of the high volume of submissions, we may only contact the vendors that we believe would be a good fit for us at this time.
We currently are not accepting any new vendors until June 1, 2026. Feel Free to submit an application but know we will not respond until after June 1.
