Community Partner Highlight: NOFA-VT

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT) is a statewide, member-based nonprofit made up of farmers, gardeners, and people who care about food. NOFA-VT works to support and expand Vermont’s food system with programs that train farmers, educate consumers, and increase access to local and organic food. These programs help farmers succeed through mentoring, workshops, and on-farm technical assistance; connect farms to schools; help farmers’ markets accept 3SquaresVT (food stamps) benefits; support gardeners and homesteaders with workshops and information; certify farms and processors to organic standards; and more! Since 1971, NOFA-VT has been a leader in Vermont’s agricultural movement and has partnered with community organizations and community-minded businesses like City Market to support farmers and consumers alike as we build a new food economy
