Local Signs of Spring

It may be winter still, but our farmers are hard at work tending over-wintered crops and getting ready for spring planting. Here are a few items from local and regional farms that brightened our day and made us think of summer:

• Organic greenhouse grown european cucumbers from Deep Root Cooperative in QC
• Organic bunched spring garlic from Jericho Settlers' Farm
• Clivia plants from Von Trapp Greenhouse
• Organic broccoli raab grown in CA (admittedly not local, but still tender and delicious!)
