December Wine Picks for Under $10
The Garnacha grape was once regarded as more functional than fun. It’s known for being a “workhorse” of a Spanish varietal and is often used as a blending grape in France where it is known as Grenache. Times have changed and we’ve had great luck with good value Spanish Garnachas. They can be juicy and fruity while still maintaining good structure and body. Hints of spice and dark fruit flavors carry Garnacha from BBQ season into the cold winter months.
This December we have two delicious Garnachas on sale for $8.99.
Altés Garnachahas loads of kirsch, raspberry, and licorice aromas and flavors with earthy minerality. It’s intense, complex, rich and dense, with no blending required!
Borsao Garnachais a medium-bodied red with aromas of baking spices enveloped in blackberry and blueberry fruit. Rich, dark fruit flavors are accented with red cherry and pomegranate flavors. Borsao is an easy drinking crowd pleaser!
