Bunnies!

Facilities Manager, Brent, with a bunny

We recently found a litter of bunnies in our side garden. After determining that the mother no longer was caring for the bunnies, we contacted a licensed wildlife rehabber to care for the rabbits until they are old enough to be released into the wild.

Through this process, we learned a lot of great tips about handling injured or abandoned wildlife, including to avoid using your bare hands to catch an animal that may carry rabies (foxes, skunks, bats, raccoons, and groundhogs harbor the disease), put the animal in a box lined with a blanket or towel, and call a licensed wildlife rehabber. The rehabber will be able to give you further instructions and will care for the animals until they can be released back into the wild.
