BTV Honey

Craving something sweet?  Why not try one of our new products: locally harvested BTV Honey!  This honey was produced and processed by two local beekeepers, Bill Mares and Dan Goossen.  Their bees live around Burlington, including at UVM and the Intervale.  Since bees tend to harvest pollen from a 2-3 mile radius of their hive, you can be sure that you're eating truly local honey.

Honey has antibacterial and antioxidant properties and can be used to help treat symptoms of the common cold, such as a sore throat or cough.  Additionally, some studies report that eating local honey can help mitigate allergies, however this claim is still disputed. As always, please consult your medical practitioner before using honey as a natural remedy. Our friendly staff in the Wellness Department are always happy to answer questions, too.
