Federal Grant For VT Agriculture Center
A new program to help Vermonters develop more farm products has won a $469,000 federal grant. The money will go to the Vermont Agricultural Innovation Demonstration Center.
The center will try to help farmers and food businesses connect with untapped markets.The center plans to use the grant to provide technical assistance for developing new crops and products; for market research and promotion; for boosting agricultural and culinary tourism; and for other efforts to expand the reach of Vermont’s agricultural products.
