Old Spokes Home

Year Round

Old Spokes Home is a bike shop and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to create access to bikes and the opportunities they provide for our whole community.

In addition to selling affordable bikes (new and used), providing full repair services, and offering practical, high quality gear and accessories for riding around town and beyond, Old Spokes Home is also a social service provider, a job training center, a community center, an educational space... and a lot of other things, too!

Job Summary

Volunteers are the driving force behind OSH's work -- namely, the Everybody Bikes program. They help OSH strip bikes for reusable parts, breathe new life into old bikes, and give bikes away to kids. Volunteers are also key to the success of the shop’s Fall Fundo annual fundraiser.

Old Spokes Home hosts a weekly drop-in volunteer opportunity at our non-profit bike shop at 331 North Winooski Avenue. We are making a change, moving this weekly event to Tuesday evenings (5 to 7 pm). Come help to take apart bikes, sort parts, and sometimes to refurbish kids bikes. Bike repair experience welcome but not a necessity. No sign-ups necessary. Follow Old Spokes Home on Instagram for last minute changes in the schedule.
