Meet May's Member Artists: AmeriCorps Volunteers

Throughout the month of May, City Market’s Member Artist Wall will display work created independently by AmeriCorps volunteers. The Artists live below the Federal Poverty line and are serving in anti-poverty projects around the city. Projects include piloting a security deposit loan program with the Housing Resource Center, organizing volunteers for the free tax sites in Chittenden County through the CASH coalition, and helping women transition out of prison or public assistance into careers with Vermont Works for Women. The diversity of art works give vision to the diversity of projects, experiences, and people working with VISTA.
