April Featured Member Artist - Stella Marrs

Stella Marrs is an interdisciplinary artist whose work addresses feminism and ecology. She uses events, publishing, video and installation as spaces to generate female voice. Marrs has made large scale, collaborative, event-based works such as Girl City and 100 Women Dinner Party that are cited as seeds for later Riot Grrrl culture. Her more recent work has been in installation and video. She received her MFA in Visual Studies at the University at Buffalo in 2009, and is keen to establish a practice investigating local culture in Burlington, Vermont.
