This monthly series is a collaboration with the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program. For our first class of the 2018/2019 series, we invite you to join us for a special evening as we learn about Kvrgusa, a delicious chicken dish that comes from the far Northwestern corner of Bosnia. Seasoned chicken baked with soft dough and finished with cream will be complimented by a fresh and herby salad, completing this unique and regionally specific meal. Senada Sokocevic left her Bosnian hometown of Kozarac during the war in 1992 and came to Vermont as a refugee in 1999 with her husband and son. Senada is an excellent pastry chef and cook, as well as a Certified Dental Assistant, Community Dental Health Coordinator, Expanded Function Dental Assistant AND she’s even a black belt in Tae Kwan Do! As a young child, Senada learned to cook from her mother, and has enjoyed creating and experimenting with food ever since.
