This year, our New Year’s resolution is to eat food that is healthy, delicious and aligns with our values. In this hands-on class, Nicole Vitello, President of Equal Exchange Produce, breaks down the meaning of fair trade and shares creative ways to use the ingredients that are right in your pantry, like avocados, bananas, and cocoa. Participants will learn the inside scoop on small farmer supply chains, and have the chance to make nutritious, vegan desserts (like fair trade chocolate avocado ganache). Everyone will leave with recipes, dessert samples and a deeper understanding of the real story behind their food.
