Savory Cuban Appetizers: Empanadas 3 Ways - Cancelled
McClure Multigenerational Center
241 N Winooski Ave
Burlington, VT 05401
This class has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience.
In this class you will learn how to make three of the most famous Cuban savory appetizers that are served at every fiesta. The name empanadas comes from the Spanish verb empanar, meaning to wrap or coat in bread. First we’ll learn how to make Empanadas de Pollo (chicken empanadas). Next, we’ll learn how to make Papa Rellenas, which literally means “stuffed potato”. These are almost always stuffed with a meat hash and then fried. Lastly, we will learn how to make Croquetas de Bacalao (codfish croquettes). The great thing about these appetizers is that they can be made into bite-sized portions to cater any special event. Que rico!
