Spanish Immersion Class: Mexican Pozole
McClure Multi-Generational Center
241 N. Winooski Ave
Burlington, VT 05401
Join us for a Spanish-language cooking class, with instruction entirely in Spanish! We’ll make pozole, a Mexican soup that includes hominy and lots of toppings. Alejandra Perez is from Querétero, Mexico. She now lives in Addison County with her husband and three daughters. She is known for her cooking and authentic Mexican food. This class is made possible through a project called Huertas, a community-based food access project that facilitates the planting of kitchen gardens on rural dairy farms with Latino/migrant farm workers and their families. This class will be taught entirely in Spanish and is facilitated by Jessie Mazar, program coordinator for Huertas.
