Join naturalist, herbalist, and registered dietitian Melanie Putz Brotz for a fall foray to seek and learn about edible wild plants in the Intervale. There are still good, nourishing roots and greens around as well as medicinal plants to appreciate in this season, so come join the adventure. Participants in this workshop will learn about abundant "weeds" that are high in vitamins, minerals, and other health-enhancing compounds. We will also talk about preservation techniques that can be used to store the medicinal and nutritive properties of the plants for the winter.

Meet at the small parking lot on Intervale Road, on the right after the dirt road begins, by the entrance to the Rena Calkins Trail.
