Entomatadas Rojas y Verdes – en español!

Join us for City Market’s first ever Spanish-language cooking class, with instruction entirely in Spanish! We’ll make homemade tortillas and two different types of salsa (red and green) from scratch, traditionally prepared chicken, and toppings of sour cream, cilantro, and queso fresco. Our instructor, Alejandra, is from Querétaro, Mexico, about 3 hours from Mexico City. She lives in Vermont with her three young daughters and her husband, who works on a dairy farm. This class is made possible through a project called Huertas, a community-based food access project that facilitates the planting of kitchen gardens on rural dairy farms with Latino/migrant farm workers and their families. This class will be taught entirely in Spanish and is facilitated by Jessie Mazar, who works for the Burlington School Food Project and for Huertas.
