Our farms are in full force, and the vegetables are at their best. Need some inspiration? Jessica Bongard of Sweet Lime Cooking Studio in Jericho will remix some of your summer favorites with new flavors: Zucchini noodles with mango-mint-ginger-chile sauce, green heirloom tomato salad, collard wraps with quinoa and miso carrot spread, and watermelon salad with medjool dates, lime juice, and rose water. These recipes also happen to be gluten and dairy-free! Jessica developed her love of vegetarian cuisine at Moosewood Restaurant in Ithaca, NY and currently serves on the board of Slow Food Vermont.
