From sunny window sills to window boxes and hanging baskets there are a lot of great ways to grow herbs near your kitchen. Joann Darling of The Garden of Seven Gables will lay out choices for herb garden locations depending on the space you have available. From parsley to cilantro to basil to oregano to thyme to chives, Joann will discuss which varieties to start from seed, transplants or cuttings. Soil preparation, common insect pests, and harvest timing will all be discussed, as well as drying tips to allow you to cook with your herbs throughout the year.
