City Market Management and Union Leadership Agree to Extend Current Contract

We are pleased to announce that City Market Management and the UE203 Leadership team have come to an agreement this week and will be extending our current City Market ORC contract. After just two sessions of negotiation, the teams came to an agreement that we all feel is fair and appropriate given the current climate of the Co-op.

City Market has maintained a long-standing relationship with our Union, UE203, for more than 20 years. We appreciate the Union’s recognition of the serious financial and external challenges facing our Co-op, and we believe this extension will provide important stability in the year ahead. These are difficult times for our Co-op, our local community, and our country, but our Co-op has consistently shown a resilience, willingness and ability to rise to the occasion. It is more important than ever that we live our values and remain committed to the spirit of cooperation in the face of daunting challenges and we are hopeful that, together, we will work even more closely as we navigate an uncertain future.
