Our New Shopping Tour
Two friends were swapping stories about saving money on meals. “I cook from my pantry a lot,” one said, and the other nodded - of course! They proceeded to cheerfully recount the dishes they had fashioned from long-lasting products like pastas and sauces, beans and grains, long-storing vegetables, and things put away in the freezer for a rainy day, like soup stocks, pesto, tortillas, and more.
In fact, “cooking from my pantry” is what most people do in the world who don’t have the convenience of running to the grocery store or a restaurant every time they want to eat a meal.
Simply put, it’s about having enough, and then making do with what we have.
On World Food Day (October 16th), we launched The Pennywise Pantry, our new shopping tour focused on filling your pantry – or cupboard, mini-fridge, or cellar shelves – with foods that fit the way you eat, are affordable, long-lasting, and nutritious.
It's fun to cook from your pantry, we think you'll agree. To sign up for the next (twice-monthly) Pennywise Pantry tour, check out our classes and events calendar.
