Cooking Up Confidence In The No Fuss Kitchen
Homemade cooking doesn’t have to be a daunting task. In an age where packaged and premade food is immediately available, it can be easy to neglect the pots and pans in our kitchens. But cooking from home offers many benefits over eating out; it’s overall healthier, lower in empty calories, higher in nutrition, and is significantly more cost-effective. When out of practice, though, recipes gone wrong can be a frustrating end to your day. So we’re introducing a new cooking workshop series dedicated to making you feel good about getting your hands dirty. Join me in “The No-Fuss Kitchen,” where we understand that life moves fast, people are busy, most of us don’t like dishes, and we want to eat well!
What can you expect from one of these workshops? We’ll theme each class, but you can expect to find workshops about one-pot meals, meals to make in 30 minutes or less (really), and dishes that are magical revitalizations of the forgotten ingredients in your fridge.
Check out these one-pot meals – delicious, nutritious and take minimal effort to clean up after!
- Jamaican Rice and Beans
- Sweater-Weather Chili
- Eggplant Shakshuka
Looking for what to do with some of those funny leftover ingredients? We’ll get creative to find easy and tasty ways to save leftovers from the trash.
- Use pickle juice as a marinade and meat tenderizer!
- Use the entire vegetable. Beet greens? Sauté them with garlic! Leek tops? Blanch them and add them to a stew! Celery leaves? Flavor a seafood broth! Watermelon rind? Add to summer salads for a satisfying crunch!
